The Gynecological Cancer Foundation is sponsoring the inaugural Race to End Women's Cancer on Sunday, November 8, in Washington, DC. According to the GCF, a woman gets a diagnosis of gynecological cancer every seven minutes. The race (a half-marathon, 5-K, or 1-mile walk) aims to raise money for cancer research and public awareness and education. Singer and actress Mandy Moore, a spokesperson for GCF and GlaxoSmithKline, will start the race and will do the 1-mile walk alongside survivors and their families, physicians, nurses, and other gynecological cancer advocates.

Donate, volunteer or participate in the race.

Come back in January for more from Mandy Moore. It's Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, and she'll be talking with WH about why the cause is so important to her.
